Polycarbonate is a space-age clear polymer renown for its high impact strength, especially against repeated blows... such as punching the buttons on your handset while dialing... including the '1' button!   But in spite of its heavy duty strength, the paper thin Pad Mate® substrate is so flexible and resilient that you'll never know it's there... has the same feel and responsiveness as your original Panasonic keypad! Polycarbonate is used to make things like bullet-resistant windows, bank security screens, clear canopies over the pilots of fighter jets, and police riot shields and face masks!
