Perma-PadTM
button keypad
YOU WON'T FIND A BETTER KEYPAD FOR
YOUR PANASONIC
KX-TGA400B OR KX-TGA200B ON THE MARKET!
|
From the outside,
identical look and feel
of the original Panasonic keypad buttons that you're
accustomed to...

|
But deep inside,
where the buttons make contact with the circuit board, we've
incorporated the Pad-MateTM
--- "the
best friend your handset will ever have!"
The Pad-MateTM,
a
super tough, micro-thin polycarbonate layer with ultra-strong,
ultra-durable conductive contacts...
... goes between the dialpad and the circuit board:

|
 |
THE RESULTS:
-
SUPERIOR
PERFORMANCE!
-
SUPERIOR
DURABILITY!
-
SUPERIOR
RELIABILITY!
Here's why: |
|
| |
|
|
 |
Better button
conductivity from bigger button contact surface areas...
enlarged to 7mm from the original 4mm! |
That's a whopping
206% bigger* in surface area than the original
Panasonic number buttons! (*See surface area
calculations below.)
No other keypad on the market (including other "improved" keypads) has bigger
button contacts for the KX-TGA handset!

|
* It's a geometric fact: Surface area of a circle grows
exponentially as diameter increases. The
diameter of the Perma-Pad contact is 75% bigger than the
original's, but that translates into 206% more surface
area. Here's why:
Original Panasonic button is 4mm in diameter. Surface
area =
pr2,
or 3.14 x 22 = 12.56 mm2. Barclay
Perma-PadTM button is 7mm in diameter.
Surface area = 3.14 x 3.52 = 38.46 mm2.
Increase in size is: (38.36 / 12.56) - 1.00 = 2.06 =
206%. |
But wait... there's even better news... |
| |
|
|
|
Bigger by itself
isn't better...
|
|
BETTER
IS BETTER!
The
Perma-PadTM utilizes the
latest in technology and materials to out-perform
traditional rubber keypads... including other
"improved" KX-TGA keypads that are simply bigger versions of
the same old material... with the same old weaknesses! |
| |
|
This
technology has been in use for years by
Panasonic and other manufacturers for their higher
end cordless telephone systems.
NOW YOU CAN
ENJOY THIS PROVEN UPGRADE ON YOUR PANASONIC
KX-TGA400B & KX-TGA200B HANDSET AT NO EXTRA
CHARGE! |
No other KX-TGA keypad on the
market offers the same
features and
advantages of the
Barclay Perma-PadTM
keypad:
|
|
|
 |
Super-thin, but super-durable, polycarbonate
substrate --- built to
withstand
hundreds of thousands of
actuations (presses)... way beyond the
contacts on traditional "elastomeric rubber"
keypads. |
| |
|
|
What makes
polycarbonate superior? Polycarbonate is a
space-age clear polymer renown for its high impact
strength, especially against repeated blows...
such as punching the buttons on your handset while
dialing... including the '1' button!
|

|
But in spite of its heavy duty strength, the paper
thin Pad MateTM substrate is so
flexible and resilient that you'll never know it's
there... has the same feel and responsiveness as
your original Panasonic keypad! |
|

Polycarbonate is used
to make things like
bullet-resistant
windows, bank security
screens, clear canopies
over the pilots of fighter jets,
and police riot shields
and face masks! |
|
|
|
|
|
|
 |
Conductive carbon contacts won't
degrade or break down the
way the soft conductive material does in traditional rubber
keypads... including
other "improved" keypads. |
| |
|
 |
Don't underestimate the power of carbon!
Did you know that
carbon is added to iron to turn it into steel? And
carbon fiber composites are so durable that they
are used --- among other things ---in the nose
cone and leading edges of the Space Shuttle! |
|
Yet as strong as the
Perma-Pad's contacts are, they're as soft as a
kiss on your circuit board... |
 |
|
|
|
 |
Industrial
grade adhesive seals out contaminants
that can make their way between the contacts and the circuit
board.
What sort of
contaminants are we talking about? Gross stuff
like: spittle, body oil, food, beverages, spray
from sneezes & coughs, etc. This varies from user
to user, but it's REAL!
Over time, this contamination forms a
"goopy" barrier that can interfere with proper conductivity
when you press the buttons. |
| |
|
|
|
No other
keypad on the market seals out external contaminants
from your Panasonic KX-TGA handset! |
 |
| |
|
CONSUMER
ALERT: DON'T FALL
FOR THE ANYONE'S MISLEADING MYTHS ABOUT WHAT
CAUSES YOUR KEYPAD TO FAIL:
-
MYTH 1:
Contaminants are
exclusively oil or silicone seeping
from the original Panasonic keypad itself.
-
MYTH 2: This gunk NEVER
comes from external sources (like your mouth).
-
MYTH 3: That their keypad alone
--- without a sealing barrier --- is sufficient
to guarantee 'no gunk' builds up between the keypad
and the printed circuit board. Their
objective is to gull you into buying their
"improved" keypad since it doesn't have a
sealing barrier.
HERE ARE THE FACTS:
FACT #1: This
same gunk / oil / wax is NEVER found
under the keypads of traditional corded phones,
even
though the keypads used in corded phones are
made of identical material as the keypads used
in cordless phones.
FACT #2:
However, this
same gunk / oil / wax IS found inside the
corded handsets of conventional corded phones... inside both
the mouthpiece and the earpiece.
Reason: Like
cordless handsets, corded handsets are used
near the mouth and are rubbed against the ear.
Through the physical phenomena of entropy and
capillary action, deposits of liquid (e.g.,
spray from a cough) and semi-liquids (body
oil) gradually and randomly spread out and
migrate, including between the tone pad and
circuit board.
FACT #3:
This same gunk / oil / wax IS ALSO found inside
other brands of cordless phones and cell phones that use
plasticized (non-rubber)
keypads that could never produce such material
on their own.
FACT #4:
We frequently find CORROSION on the metal
contacts of the printed circuit --- on handsets
that have NOT had liquid spilled on them
(meaning the corrosion is confined to the
surface between the keypad and the circuit
board). CORROSION COMES FROM WATER BASED
FLUIDS (spit, beverages, etc.)... NOT
SILICONE, RUBBER OR PLASTIC.
Likewise, the contaminants frequently either
partially or completely evaporate. SILICONE
AND RUBBER DON'T EVAPORATE.
These two phenomena --- corrosion and
evaporative fluid --- are NEVER found under the
keypads of
regular corded phones unless they have had
liquid spilled on them.

No other
KX-TGA
keypad on the market seals out contaminants between
the contacts and the circuit board the way the Barclay
Perma-PadTM
does! |
As always....
Don't let
anyone turn your Panasonic cordless handset into
Franken-phone

with an inferior, patched
together keypad replacement or "repair"! |
