Hello, and thanks for considering linking your website with ours.

PART A - LINKING WEBSITES
WHAT IS LINKING? HOW IS IT DONE? WHY DO IT?

Let's start with the WHAT & HOW. Linking websites is nothing more than (a) us putting a link on our website pointing to your website (along with a descriptive blurb) and (b) you doing the same for us. You can see what we mean by visiting our links page. (Note: you DON'T have to have a special links page in your website.) Anyway, our point is that linking websites has nothing to do with merging websites or exchanging files or data or info or anything like that.

Now for the WHY. There are two basic reasons. One is highly touted but overrated, the second is a underrated but in reality the most important reason.

Let's dispense with the overrated one first. Supposedly, if we link sites, then your visitors will see your link to us and come visit our website, and vice versa. Personally, we doubt this happens much at all on the internet, even when the two linking websites target a common market. And in our case, the chances are even less because frankly relatively few people looking for something on our website would have any interest in what's on your website and vice versa. Could happen, but it's a long shot.

So why should we still link? Because of the second and relatively unknown reason: Linking will boost our respective websites' ranking among the search engines for keyword searches, and that's where the action is. Both of us are interested in penetrating our respective markets, and one way of doing that is through our websites, which is why we have websites. More to the point, you (like us) are hoping prospective customers will find your website when they do a keyword search on their favorite search engine. But but what if you're on page 15 of the search results and your competition is on page 1 or 2? How do you get your website up the ladder and on page 1 (or closer to it) of the search results?

There are several things you can do, and one of them is to have other websites link to your website. Why? Because the search engines (Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc) see someone linking to your website as a "yes" vote... and the more votes you get, the more weight your site is given when they do their indexing.

Bottom line: You gain by us linking to you, and we gain by you linking to us. It's as simple as that.

PART B - HOW TO LINK TO BARCLAY ENTERPRISES, INC.

If you want to exchange links, let us know and we'll create a link to you on our links page.

Then, all you have to do is reciprocate by putting a link to us on your website. It takes ONLY 3 EASY STEPS:

STEP	NOTES
STEP 1 DECIDE WHERE ON YOUR WEBSITE YOU WANT TO PUT A LINK TO US.	It can be on any page you want, and you don't need to create a separate "links" page the way we have. Remember, we really don't care if human visitors even know it exists... we just want the search engines to be able to find it when they do their indexing. However, for the same reason, it MUST be a page that can be eventually reached via internal links. In other words, the page where you have the link to us must not be a stand alone page with no internal links to it. Why? Because the chances of search engines' webbots finding such a stand alone "island" page is extremely low, and even if they do, they won't put much credibility in it. Thus, the likelihood of them capturing and indexing your link to us would be essentially zero.
STEP 2 CREATE A LINK TO US.	Below are our preferences (in descending order) of how your link to us might look. You can decide what's appropriate based on the style of the page where you'll be putting the link. You should be able to just cut 'n' paste, and feel free to change the font: Option 1 If you can "do it up big", please use this format. (This is how your link in our website looks.) Note that the keywords on the top line are hyperlinked to our website. Having keywords hyperlinked is actually more important to the search engines than hyperlinking the domain name.
