Barclay Enterprises
Helps Reduce Telephone E-Waste with its
“T-Waste”®
Telephone Recycling & Disposal Program
Looking for a convenient yet environmentally responsible way
of getting rid of your unwanted
phone or telephone system? Looking for a reliable
telephone recycler?
Good news: “Starting now, getting rid of telephone
e-waste in an
environmentally responsible way is as easy as mailing a letter,” says
Rick Barclay, president of Barclay Enterprises, a leading remanufacturer
of used telephone equipment located in Colton, CA.
“Nearly everybody’s heard of ‘e-waste’”, says Barclay, “We’ve decided to
help tackle what we call “t-waste”, or telephonic waste, with our
no-charge “T-Waste® Recycling & Disposal Program” (TWRD).
We want to be a part of the country's telephone recycling efforts.
Through Barclay’s TWRD program, consumers and businesses nationwide can
send their telephone e-waste to Barclay Enterprises, who will
recycle parts when practical and dispose of the remainder through a
professional e-waste recycler licensed and certified by the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Integrated Waste
Management Board (CIWMB). All recycling is done in strict compliance with
California's Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003.
What kind of telephone equipment does Barclay Enterprises accept?
“Telephones, cordless phones, cell phones, batteries, consoles, control
units, cards, boards, power supplies --- just about anything associated
with telecommunications,” replies Barclay.
“It’s easy to send us t-waste,” he adds. “Just fill out a request form on
our website (www.barclayent.com)
to get a return authorization number. Then, just box and ship. We’ll take
care of the rest. And even though we’re in California, we’ll take
T-Waste®
from anyone in the United States and its territories.”
Barclay Enterprises, Inc. has been buying, selling and repairing used
business and consumer phones since 1988. “If you were to lay all the
phones we've repaired and recycled to date end to end, they would stretch
for over 23 miles!” Barclay states. “And if you were to include all the
power supplies, circuit boards, control units and cordless handsets we've
recycled, you could fill over 440 dumpsters. But dumpsters and landfills
aren't where e-waste or t-waste belongs!”
